Pick whatever you like for brunch at Venner – Two former Kadeau chefs are creating a buzz with this must-try brunch spot in City Center

They met in the kitchen at Kadeau, became good friends, and went on to open the aptly named restaurant Venner in 2021. Chef-owners David Squire and Camille Bletton hail from England and Canada, and they’ll be the first to tell you that Copenhagen has been sleeping on brunch. With an all-new menu, they’re doubling down on their mission to change that. Here, you can get your fill of eggs Benedict, maple-glazed bacon, fluffy buttermilk pancakes, mimosas, and more. Whether you’ve been a brunch fan for ages or you’re new to the scene, Venner is the city’s go-to spot for a festive hybrid feast.

WHAT YOU GET

Pick whatever you like for brunch at Venner. Bite into eggs Benedict with brown butter hollandaise and your choice of avocado, cured salmon, or bacon. Taste yogurt whipped with olive oil and maple syrup, topped with caramelized apples and cinnamon coconut granola. Get housemade beetroot-cured salmon with fennel, lemon cream cheese, and fresh dill. Feast on fluffy American-style buttermilk pancakes topped with green tea-infused whipped cream and fresh berries. Savor a plate of artisan pork + ramson sausage and bacon glazed in maple syrup to order. Wash it all down with freshly pressed juice, lemonade, or coffee. If you’re in the mood to make it boozy, sip on a mimosa, Aperol spritz, margarita, and more. Alcohol-free cocktails are also available if that’s more your speed.

+ ABOUT

True to the name, Venner has got to be one of the friendliest places in town. They’ve nailed the sweet spot of exceptional food, impeccable service, and entirely unpretentious vibes. The upstairs has a cozy café feel, outside there’s a scenic courtyard area, and the downstairs boasts a newly rebuilt bar, making it the ultimate gathering place for all kinds of occasions. On Saturdays and Sundays in particular, the vibe can get pretty lively – the line between breakfast and lunch gets blurred, and brunch reigns supreme.
