GAO was co-founded by Tem Hansen, a Dane who visited Hong Kong as a master’s student and ended up staying there for 8 years. Upon his return to Copenhagen, he decided this city was missing out on the daily dumpling way of life, so he set out to open a casual place of his own. Here, Asian street culture meets Scandi simplicity. The flavors are authentic, and the menu continues to grow with new shapes and fillings whenever a trip back to Asia brings new inspiration. GAO has been on the Danish scene since 2016 and now has three locations. To this day, they’re still the most dedicated dumpling dudes in the game.
