Inside the sleek 1970s interiors you will find familiar yet lively takes on Italian classics. At DUO, it’s the simple things that matter most. The straightforward menu showcases Italian dishes as influenced by the Danish seasons. Fresh, handmade pasta is always the centerpiece on the menu. Expect perfectly sauced strands of cacio e pepe with spaghetti, or lamb ragu with vibrant green papardelle. See how seasonal ingredients influence the chefs in dishes like calvaro nero pasta, fresh cheese with puntarella and anchovy, and more.
WHAT YOU GET
Enjoy a 5-course menu at DUO. The menu is chef’s choice, so dishes rotate regularly to reflect the season's best ingredients. To start, take a bite of saffron arancini with aioli and fried sage leaves. Taste insalata del giorno with beets and goat cheese, or a salad of vinaigrette-dressed radicchio with fresh peas and grated parmesan. Savor braised beans with nduja and sautéed cime di rapa. Try the day’s pasta selection, always made fresh in-house – like spaghetti al limone and pasta pomodoro. Eat white fish crudo with blood orange, green chili, olive oil, and chives. For dessert, indulge in tiramisu, a non-negotiable mainstay on the menu.

DUO promises straightforward Italian food fuelled by seasonal ingredients. Restauranteurs and creatives – Jacob Kampp Berliner and Martin Gjesing – wanted to create a space where friends, family, and guests feel welcome. When it came to crafting the menu, they turned to chef Marvin Christensen, formerly of the Michelin-starred Marchal, to add his flair to Italian dishes. The result is a deeply personal and immersive dining experience, where guests can split a bottle of wine over an evening tasting menu or grab a casually indulgent quick bite. Just like the French-influenced Værnedamsvej on which the restaurant is located, DUO has a local yet international feel.
